Progress

// November 4th, 2008 // Environment, Portrait, Street photos

Metro Manila is the most progressive city in the Philippines, where almost every businesses are located. This picture is taken in Alabang, Muntinlupa City where you can see the on-going construction of the alabang via duct. Sadly progress sometimes come with a price, and this is the price of progress, at least here in the Philippines that is. I hate to say it but our system really has to change. We are progressing alright but backwards.

People in construction, they dig up a hole during the summer and it would take up so long just to prolong the project and it would carry on until the rainy season. Who then perishes for this? Not them but the people, just imagine how many accidents this “pond” can produce. Maybe not a lot to call the attention of the authorities.

I don’t want to sound like I know everything, and I don’t want to blame anyone for this. I just want to voice out that maybe we (as Filipinos) can do better than this. We can do 100x better than this. But it has to start somewhere, it has to start with someone. It has to start with me and you.
